The Columbia Scholastic
Press Association (CSPA) 2011 Gold Circle Awards honored the Institute’s
Blueprint with 22 awards, the most ever received by a Blueprint in the book’s
103-year history. Blueprint’s previous highest-winning issue, the 2001 edition,
received 12 awards.
Under the
editorship of Grace Stephens, a third-year building construction major, the
2010 Blueprint won four first-place awards, six second-place awards, six third-place
awards and six certificates of merit. Certificates of Merit are awarded to the
top placement-worthy entries that fall outside of the first, second or third
place categories for a specific award. In award Y62 (Organizations or Greeks
spread on spread: black and white), the Blueprint placed as winners in the top
three awards given in the category.
