There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Covid-19 has deeply impacted our lives for the past year or so, but with the vaccine, the smell of spring in the air, and a fine dusting of pollen on everything outdoors in Georgia, we can begin to see the light at the end of the pandemic tunnel. So, even if we are not traveling internationally now, we can still dream of, think about, and plan for the future. Now is actually an ideal time to plan for Spring 2022 education abroad and/or Global Research and Internship Programs, as many application deadlines for spring happen early in fall semester. For instance, if your student is interested in studying abroad on exchange in Spring 2022, they need to apply by Sept. 1, 2021 — which means there isn’t much time in the fall for a student to get settled at Tech before they need to plan for spring semester. Students are encouraged to meet or chat with an advisor in the Office of International Education (OIE) this summer to explore the numerous opportunities available for their major.
