Andrew Ingram joined Southern Company in 2011 in the Strategic Studies group of Southern’s Transmission Planning department. He moved to the Power Delivery group of Southern’s Research and Development department in 2015. Ingram's research focuses on the grid integration of new technologies like renewables, energy storage, micro grids, and power electronics. He holds Bachelor of Science degrees in electrical engineering and psychology from the University of Alabama.
