We can all use some inspiration in our lives, especially in these tough times. To do our part in instilling hope and motivating the Tech student community following our Illuminate Tech student talks, Grad SGA is hosting a virtual Illuminate Tech: Faculty/Staff Edition for this Spring.

These talks are focused on the professors and staff members of the Georgia Tech community. They serve as mentors and sources of inspiration for students and have faced struggles and successes beyond the classroom/offices in their careers and personal lives. With years of experience, they harbor unique perspectives and stories regarding their path to where they are today and the personal struggles they have overcome along their journeys.

The event will be hosted on Thursday, April 8th from 4 PM - 5:30 PM online via Bluejeans (https://bit.ly/IT_faculty_staff_spring_21). Each speaker will have 20 minutes to share their story, with a 15-20 minute Q&A session following the talks.

This semester's Faculty series speakers are:
  1. Caroline Dotts | Interim Senior Director for the Campus Recreation Center
  2. Leah Thomas | Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development/Sports Dietitian
  3. Steven W. McLaughlin | Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs
Event Moderator : Lea Harris | President Graduate SGA & PhD Student at Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory (ASDL)
