There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Georgia Tech, Emory University, and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta were honored with a Georgia Bio Deal of the Year Award for receiving $54 million from the National Institutes of Health to validate and verify the best performing Covid-19 diagnostic tests in the NIH's Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics (RADx) program. The presentation was made during the Double Helix Awards presented by Georgia Bio, a non-profit, membership-based organization that promotes the interests and growth of the life sciences industry.
Other Georgia Tech winners include James Rains, Professor of the Practice in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering for his work with Jackson Medical; and Christopher Saldana, Ring Family Professor in the George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering, whose Saldana Medical Group, along with the Global Center for Medical Innovation, won an Innovation Award for PPE face shields.
