The racial divide: Channel 2 investigates disparities in getting the COVID-19 vaccine

“That is troubling. That is a gap that I would like to see addressed with mechanisms that actually work." That's what Dian Chung, Director of Human Resources for the College of Sciences, told a WSB-TV reporter after learning that a University of Pittsburgh study found more vaccination sites in predominantly white areas of DeKalb and Fulton Counties than in predominantly African-American neighborhoods, even though the latter areas have higher Covid-19 infection rates. Chung also would like to see more diversity among researchers on television talking about vaccines and Covid-19.
