There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Saibal Mukhopadhyay, an assistant professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has won the 2010 IBM Faculty Award. This is the second year in a row that he has received this honor.
Dr. Mukhopadhyay received this award for his work on "Thermal and Power Analysis and On-line Management in 3D Systems." An interdisciplinary effort, this project spans the domains of thermodynamics, signal/image processing, VLSI, and computer architecture to understand and control the thermal field and power in 3D systems.
An ECE faculty member since 2007, Dr. Mukhopadhyay is a member of the VLSI systems and design technical interest group and leads the Gigascale Reliable Energy Efficient Nanosystem (GREEN) Lab.
