In alignment with an announcement made by the governor, lieutenant governor, and speaker of the House, Chancellor Steve Wrigley of the University System of Georgia (USG) announced earlier this year that full-time system employees making less than $80,000 a year will receive a one-time $1,000 bonus this spring.

“The past 12 months have been so challenging and we greatly appreciate the opportunity to give back to our employees for their hard work,” said Kelly Fox, executive vice president for Administration and Finance.

The bonus will be paid to all employees who, as of Feb. 15, 2021, are regular, full-time benefits eligible with a standard work week of 30 hours or more, and with salaries less than $80,000 a year. Part-time and temporary employees are not eligible.

The USG Shared Services Center will automatically include the bonus payment for eligible employees in the March 26 payroll run for non-exempt (paid biweekly) employees and March 31 for exempt (paid monthly) employees.

Please contact your Human Resources Business Partner or departmental representative for more information. Frequently asked questions about these bonus payments are posted at hr.gatech.edu/bonus-faqs.
