Michael Mwenso joyfully guides you through the powerful gifts buried deep within Black Roots music and demonstrates how he actively listens to music, alone and as a community. Through this exploration of recorded music, we learn to understand that Black Roots music contains the Black experience, embodying the spirit and memory of a people that weave together traditions of the African diaspora with expressions in the U.S., the Americas and beyond. Seating is limited and offered as general admission.
Admission is free and reservations are required.
