Crispr Enables Inhaled Flu, Covid-19 Treatment

A biomedical engineering lab designed and tested in lab animals gene-edited therapies for influenza and Covid-19, inhaled by patients with a home device. The treatment and tests using the gene-editing technique Crispr are developed by researchers from Emory University and Georgia Tech. Researchers involved include Philip Santangelo, associate professor in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering.
