Georgia Tech is pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity that will provide financial assistance for those who qualify. Thanks to the Georgia Tech Faculty Women’s Club (GTFWC), up to six Tech students will have the chance to receive $2,000 toward their Institute expenses during the 2021-22 academic year.

The GTFWC Scholarship Program will award scholarships to undergraduates who are the children of Georgia Tech employees. In August 2021, GTFWC will transfer the scholarship funds to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships for disbursement to recipients for fees including tuition, books, room, and board.

"Through stressful times and late nights, we support, help, and connect with each other,” said a 2020 scholarship recipient who is an architecture major. “Without the Georgia Tech Faculty Women's Scholarship, I would have worried most about money. The welcoming community at Georgia Tech enables me to genuinely enjoy my journey at Tech, and I am so grateful for it.”

All applicants must meet the following guidelines to be considered:

1. Applicants must be a current Georgia Tech undergraduate student and have completed at least one full semester at Tech.

2. The applicant’s parent or guardian must be a permanent employee of Georgia Tech or an organization recognized as an affiliated organization by the Office of Legal Affairs and the Risk Management Program.

3. There is no minimum GPA to apply. The applicant must submit an official Georgia Tech transcript via Parchment from the Registrar’s Office emailed directly to the scholarship chair, Brenda "B" Woods, at brenda.woods@studentlife.gatech.edu, as well as a headshot.

4. The applicant must complete the application at baseline.campuslabs.com/giot/gtfwc2021scholarshipapp.

The deadline to apply is March 26, 2021. For questions, please contact Brenda "B" Woods, director of Research and Assessment for Student Life, at brenda.woods@studentlife.gatech.edu.
