Congratulations to Alyssa Anne Rentz, the recipient of this year's Chair's Award for her paper, "What They Wrote on October 7th: Thai-American Relations and the Role of the Press in the Erasure of the Thammasat University Massacre from Historical Memory."

The Chair's Award is given each spring to the HTS major who has written the best research paper in the prior academic year.  Papers are nominated by faculty members in April, and then reviewed by a faculty committee to select the winner. Quality of the research, quality of the writing, strength of the analysis, and originality form the basis of the review criteria. Congrats!
