Lily’s Sweets makes no-sugar added chocolate for baking and snacking. They source non-GMO and gluten free ingredients harvested through Fair Trade practices, and ensure every product is botanically sweetened – meaning no refined or processed sugars.
This is an 8-week paid remote program for undergrads from underrepresented communities interested in the branded consumer goods space. You will join a cohort of other interns within VMG Partners portfolio of brands, participating in tailored learning and development opportunities to build your understanding of the industry. You will gain experience within a core business function while being provided the mentorship and training to enable you to make an impact
Responsibilities - Marketing
- This internship will give you exposure to a dynamic and growing business channel and provide experience on effective communication, critical thinking, and time management. In addition to assisting the eCommerce team on an ad-hoc basis, you will work on one major project to be completed in this 8-week internship. This project may include the following responsibilities:
- Identify the next round of new flavors for Lily’s to launch for bars and baking chips. Project will include:
- Conducting flavor trends analysis and competitive audit
- Getting consumer input on flavor appeal and incrementality
- Working with business insights team to evaluate volume potential for new flavors
- Present a recommendation for flavor line extensions to marketing and sales team
- Prepare sell in material for the recommended new flavors
Responsibiliites - eCommerce
- This internship will give you exposure to a dynamic and growing business channel and provide experience on effective communication, critical thinking, and time management. In addition to assisting the eCommerce team on an ad-hoc basis, you will work on one major project to be completed in this 8-week internship. This project may include the following responsibilities:
- Explore the viability of effectively shipping the full line-up of products in the summer months.
- Provide the E team with inputs needed to build a plan for 2022. This would include exploring:
- box and packing options, potential vendors, pack configurations, and test shipments (some of which will go to the intern’s house – FREE CHOCOLATE!).
- With the support of the Director, Longtail and cross-functional teams, provide inputs for P&L and volume impact. Finally, make a full recommendation on move forward strategy
