Farbod Shokrieh awarded an NSF CAREER grant

Farbod Shokrieh, who received his Ph.D. from Georgia Tech's School of Mathematics in 2013, is now an assistant professor in the University of Washington's Department of Mathematics. With his NSF CAREER Award, Shokrieh will study fundamental questions at the intersection of non-archimedean and tropical geometry, arithmetic and Arakelov geometry, and combinatorics and convex geometry.
