There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Support Freshman Foundation, the branch of the Georgia Tech Student Foundation (GTSF) for first-year students, by stuffing your face with Fruit by the Foot! Look for Freshman Foundation representatives outside the dining halls to make your contribution to GTSF and out-eat your friends.
This year, GTSF issued a challenge to Freshman Foundation: collect 200 donations from the freshman class. Freshman Foundation needs your help in order to reach and exceed this goal, and to uphold the long tradition of giving back and supporting Georgia Tech. Freshman Foundation will host a series of events on campus to reward students for making a $5 donation and supporting the freshman class.
About GTSF:
GTSF is a collegiate foundation operated solely by students, including the development, investment and allocation of funds. The Foundation awards grants to student organizations and students whose ideas or projects enhance Georgia Tech. These grants are funded from an endowment that presently totals near $850,000. Members of GTSF raise funds to increase the organization's endowment, oversee a diverse portfolio in the stock market and allocate the interest and dividends to student projects. GTSF asks students to donate $5 each year to be redistributed back into student initiatives.
