Each year for Earth Day students, alumni, faculty and staff are invited to submit designs that evoke the theme of the event. The 2021 celebration will link to the new Institute Strategic Plan with the theme: Amplify Impact. Numerous submissions were considered with Civil Engineering Alumnus Connor Booth taking home the prize. His design features a hand with different ecosystems inside, showing that each person can impact the environment.

Booth’s submission goes beyond an interest in graphic design. He is passionate about sustainable transportation and how improving our transportation network can help fight climate change and improve local health and air quality. While at Tech, Booth was involved with Cru and ORGT and enjoys hiking in the mountains in his free time. He also loves to travel and visited Japan on the GT Japan Summer Program where he even got to climb Mt. Fuji. He currently lives in Marietta with his family and three cats.
