Dr. Daniel Castro, Associate Professor and Interim Chair of the School of Building Construction, was invited to speak about his research at an invitation-only event hosted by the British Government Feb. 24-25 at University College London (UCL).

Dr. Castro was one of a handful of U.S.-based researchers selected to attend the symposium, organized and funded by UCL Environment Institute with the support of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office Science and Innovation Network (Houston Office) and UK Government Foresight.

The two-day event, titled "Sustainable Energy Management and the Built Environment: Sharing Anglo-American Best Practice" drew together researchers from the United States and United Kingdom, in an effort to promote scholarship and build research collaborations, as well as discuss key policy issues.
