Originally aired on 01/28, the concert features Bruch's First Violin Concerto, the first movement of Mozart's Symphony No. 38, and Jongen's Danse lente for Flute and Harp. Rising star Gemma New returns to Symphony Hall to conduct Mozart and Bruch. Young violin sensation Randall Goosby brings finesse and passion to Bruch's classic First Violin Concerto in his Atlanta Symphony Orchestra debut. The concert opens with an intimate recording of Principal Flute Christina Smith and Principal Harp Elisabeth Remy Johnson performing Jongen's Danse lente for Flute and Harp.
