Visualizing the Itch-Sensing Skin Arbors

Until recently, researchers have experienced difficulty in visualizing the itch-sensing neurons in the skin that are responsible for the itching sensation of those who suffer from chronic itch. However, a team of Georgia Tech researchers from the School of Biological Sciences has combined different cutting-edge techniques to solve this problem. The researchers include Yanyan Xing, Liang Han, Haley R. Steele, Yuyan Zhu, Katy Lawson, and Taylor Niehoff.
