There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Title: Computing with Hardware Accelerated Dynamical Systems
Abstract: Collective dynamical systems offer unique opportunities for computing by harnessing the complex interactions of simple elements such as oscillators or spike generators. This is possible, when such dynamics can be programmed, controlled, and observed. In this talk, I will discuss some of our work where we are exploring the time-evolution of both deterministic and stochastic dynamical systems in both CMOS and post-CMOS computing substrates. I will show applications of such systems in solving inverse problems and optimizations.
