E-Week Skyscraper Contest

Full Summary: Students construct skyscrapers out of marshmallows, skewers and toothpicks with the tallest and strongest garnering top honors.

Foam towers occasionally appear outside Architecture; but can you build one taller than everyone else? Bring yourself and a team of engineers (or not) and construct the tallest skyscraper from marshmallows, skewers, and toothpicks! Build it stronger than anyone else to achieve the same height, and it may be the most rewarding tower you’ve ever designed! The competition will be judged by two guest engineers from Uzun & Case Engineers that specialize in structural engineering. The winning team will share a prize valued at $80! This event is part of Georgia Tech's celebration of National Engineers Week, organized by Tau Beta Pi.
