The Hard Lessons of Modeling the Coronavirus Pandemic

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. Joshua Weitz, professor in the School of Biological Sciences, comments on the difficulties in connecting human behavior and disease transmission, and how those challenges must be resolved in order to better control future pandemics. Weitz led researchers in developing the Covid-19 Event Risk Assessment Tool.
