Great DecisionsThe Atlanta Global Studies Center (AGSC) partners with the Georgia Council for International Visitors (GCIV), who serves as the statewide coordinator for the Foreign Policy Association’s (FPA) Great Decisions program, to present this year’s Dunwoody Great Decisions Lecture Series. AGSC and GCIV will help facilitate discussion groups and lecture series that give participants the opportunity to expand their understanding of world affairs.
The 2021 Dunwoody Great Decisions Lecture Series will take place virtually every Thursday at 7:30 PM from February 4 – March 25, 2021.
The Great Decisions Lecture Series is the largest discussion program on world affairs and features weekly topics chosen by the Foreign Policy Association. Topics, which change annually, are based on the Foreign Policy Association’s nonpartisan briefing book and highlight eight of the current most thought-provoking foreign policy challenges facing Americans. This year’s topics include Supply Chains, Persian Gulf Security, Brexit, the Arctic, China’s Role in Africa, the Korean Peninsula, the World Health Organization, and Globalization, and are presented by Georgia Tech and Georgia State University faculty experts.
Georgia Tech and GSU faculty members will be featured as speakers in this year’s program, who will provide additional perspective on the week’s topic and lead a conversation with the audience regarding the information presented in the Briefing Book and through their remarks.
AGSC is proud to participate in the Great Decisions program, the largest non-partisan citizen education effort of its kind that has provided quality information and tools for over fifty years!
