Storms that slammed Central America in 2020 just a preview, climate change experts say

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. More storms could also hit outside of the traditional hurricane season going forwards as ocean waters get warmer sooner, said Susan Lozier, an oceanographer and dean at the Georgia Institute of Technology's College of Sciences. This year, a record-tying two tropical storms were swirling over the Atlantic in May, before the season's June 1 start.
