There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. 2D materials have been the focus of intense research in the last decade due to their unique physical and chemical properties. This presentation will highlight our recent progress on the synthesis of two-dimensional transition metal di- and tri-chalcogenides using plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition (ALD). By fine-tuning the plasma conditions during ALD we gain precise control over the morphology, grain size and phase of the 2D materials, tailoring them for nanoelectronics and catalysis applications.
