The fact that Georgia Tech is located in a thriving urban area offers many exciting opportunities. Conversely, our urban location also presents challenges when it comes to personal safety and security of our valuables.
To help the community learn more about personal safety, Georgia Tech Police Department sponsors Campus Safety Day on Friday, February 11.
“We want and need our students to understand that because we are located in an urban setting there are certain challenges that they face and precautions that they need to take,” noted Georgia Tech Chief of Police Teresa Crocker. “The purpose of this day is to raise the entire Georgia Tech community’s awareness of these personal safety and property security issues.”
