Ivan Allen College Faculty Projects Receive Seed Grants

Four projects involving Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts faculty members and graduate students have been awarded grants from the GVU/Institute for People and Technology (IPaT)/Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) Seed Grant program.

The Seed Grant program helps "catalyze and support interdisciplinary research activities," with funding going through the spring 2021 semester. Projects that involve collaboration between disciplines are particularly encouraged.

The projects involving IAC faculty members and graduate students are:

  • Sorting Through the Racks and CAPTCHAs: Exploring the Use and Regulation of Automation Tools by Communities of Online Fashion Resellers in Poshmark.com – Christopher Le Dantec (LMC), Robert Rosenberger (Public Policy), Sara Miles Espinosa (LMC) 
  • COVID-19 and Child Maltreatment Through Two Different Lenses: Online Media and Official Administrative Reports – Lindsey Bullinger (Public Policy), Diyi Yang (Interactive Computing)
  • Healing Justice: Co-Designing for Black Communities – Susana Morris (LMC), Brooke Bosley (LMC)
  • Alone Together: Empowering Student Community Building and Content Engagement Through Digital Collaboration in Remote Learning –  Anne Sullivan (LMC), Laura Levy (IMTC)
