The Writing & Communication Program, in conjunction with the School of Literature, Communication, and Culture, invites you to its first Communication Colloquium for the semester, featuring Kathryn Crowther and Andrew Famiglietti.
Kathryn Crowther received her PhD from Emory in 2008. Her research interests include nineteenth-century material culture and the Victorian novel, and contemporary depictions of Victorian materiality in the literature and culture of Steampunk.
Presentation Title: "(Steam)Punking Pedagogy: Creativity and Digital Pedagogy in the English Composition Classroom"
Andrew Famiglietti is a PhD in American Culture Studies from Bowling Green State University. His research interests include cultural studies, science and technology studies, intellectual property and the copyleft movement, and the effect of digital media on the university.
