On Nov. 19, Georgia Tech unveiled its new strategic plan which presents a shared vision for the next decade with motto, “Progress and Service for All."
The ambitious goals and actions of the plan prioritize six key areas:
Amplify Impact
Champion Innovation
Connect Globally
Expand Access
Cultivate Well-Being
Lead by Example
“Our six strategic focus areas each have a priority goal with four to six key objectives that describe the expected outcomes we anticipate as we implement this plan,” said Tech's President Ángel Cabrera during a fireside chat event to announce the stratgic plan along with Provost Steve McLaughlin, Dean of Scheller College of Business Maryam Alavi, and Sonia Alvarez-Robinson, executive director for Strategic Consulting.
The plan also highlights diversity, including: We thrive on diversity. We see diversity of backgrounds and perspectives as essential to learning, discovery, and creation. We strive to remove barriers to access and success, and to build an inclusive community where people of all backgrounds have the opportunity to learn and contribute to our mission.
