Full Summary: GT1000 GT2000 Team Leader Information Session

The GT1000/GT2000 Program is currently recruiting Team Leaders for their GT1000 (First-Year Student Seminar) and GT2000 (Transfer Student Seminar) courses for Summer 2021 and Fall 2021 semesters.

GT1000/GT2000, Georgia Tech’s first year and transfer seminar courses, introduce new students to campus and support their successful transition to college. The courses meet one hour a week and are taught by faculty and staff volunteers, with upper-class students volunteering as team leaders. Students interested on making an impact on the lives of newly accepted Yellow Jackets are encouraged to apply to be a Team Leader! Team leaders are volunteers, receiving no pay or academic credit.

Being a Team Leader is an amazing way to get involved and give back to the Georgia Tech community. As a mentor and leader on campus, TLs have a rewarding impact on incoming students by helping them adjust to life at Georgia Tech and pursue their path of success here. Team leaders work closely with the instructors. They serve as an additional contact for first-year students, offering support to students who may be a bit overwhelmed by the transition to college.

All students are eligible to apply, even if they haven’t participated in the program as a GT1000/GT2000 student. Students who would like to learn more about being a Team Leader for the GT1000/GT2000 program, can attend the information session on Monday, November 16th from 6:30 – 7:30 pm EST via Blue Jeans.
