Georgia Tech's CEISMC STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Workshops are workshops for students in 9th through 12th grade. STEAM Workshops encourages students to study and pursue a career in the STEAM fields by exposing them to many different topics of science and engineering along with technology. During each session, students participate in a variety of hands-on activities that promote creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork in 9th through 12th-grade students.
Participants will learn all about how meteorologists analyze and forecast a variety of extreme weather events, focusing on low-pressure systems, hurricanes, severe thunderstorms, and tornadoes. Participants will also learn how extreme weather will change with climate as well as how weather events are portrayed in pop culture.
Requirements: Laptop or Computer, (Windows, Mac, or Chromebook), internet access, and headphones
