Full Summary: Join Trailblazers to remove the invasive species from Briarlake Forest.

Join Trailblazers on Saturday, Nov. 21 as we volunteer with Eco-Addendum to pull invasive Wisteria out of Briarlake Forest!

Non-native Chinese Wisteria is one of the most aggressive invasive species, and when left unchecked, will over-grow even the largest trees, eventually killing them. We want to cut the infestation back while it’s manageable and before it over grows the park’s trees. Your help is greatly needed and appreciated!

We’ll just do a short walk, about 1/2 mile, and work in off-trail locations. Please wear long sleeves, long pants, sturdy shoes, and work gloves are highly recommended.

Due to Covid-19 precautions, we are not currently re-using gloves, so please bring your own gloves, or we can provide a brand new, unused pair for $5 you can take home with you (and use next time).

Please provide your own transportation to the park if possible and meet us at 9:30 at the  If you need a ride, we will be meeting at 9 a.m. at the CULC turnaround to carpool. Masks are required at all times, and social distancing will be maintained. Hope to see you there!
