The School of Economics and the Center for Applied Economics and Policy Research at Indiana University will host the 27th Annual Empirical Investigations in International Trade Conference.

At this conference, economists specializing in empirical international trade will present their current research. The goal of this conference is to promote awareness of ongoing research in the area. It is also our hope that by bringing together people of similar interests, increased communication of ideas, and future directions for the general research area will be promoted.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's edition will take place virtually on Gather on three consecutive Fridays, October 16, 23, and 30, to minimize interference with various teaching obligations and to minimize Zoom exhaustion.

Gather is a new platform for hosting virtual conferences. Presentations will be conducted in Zoom which can be accessed directly from Gather.

  • Note: There will be a $50 registration fee for both presenters and other conference attendees. This is to help us with the cost of hosting the conference on Gather.
    • Participants from Indiana University are exempt from this fee.
