Emily Snelling, marketing and communications professional in the School of Modern Languages, has been chosen for the 2020-2021 Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Junior Board of Directors.
The board is "a group of young professionals who share a commitment to shaping the future of female leaders in Atlanta and are looking to expand their networks through social, educational, fundraising, and volunteer opportunities." Snelling is one of 24 members of the inaugural class.
Snelling, who has been at Georgia Tech since 2018, manages communications and outreach efforts for the School of Modern Languages, helping to promote the activities of faculty and students and highlighting the School for the larger campus community.
"I look forward to serving on the Girl Scouts Junior Board of Directors with this group of highly-skilled leaders," Snelling said. "It's an honor to be selected as part of the inaugural class, and I'm excited to use our collective strengths to make a difference in the organization."
