France has been committed for many years to the path of sustainable development and this commitment is reflected in strong policies in each of the three pillars of sustainable development: environmental protection, economic development and social justice. Numerous cities, states, universities, NGOs, and other organizations in the U.S. support such an agenda.
The 17 U.N. SDGs are integral to Georgia Tech’s new strategic plan demonstrating Tech’s commitment to advancing these goals. How will their actions reverberate within the city of Atlanta, the southeast, Tech’s global campuses, or even wider still? How has France advanced in implementing the SDGs?
On October 1, join an all-star panel during the virtual launch of France-Atlanta 2020 to discuss how the U.N. SDGs have encouraged French-American cooperation:
Rickey Bevington, Senior Anchor/Correspondent, Georgia Public Broadcasting, will moderate the discussion.
Pre-recorded opening remarks will be provided by Philippe Etienne, Ambassador of France to the United States and Keisha Lance Bottoms, Mayor of the City of Atlanta.
October 1, 2020 at 6:30 PM on Zoom.
