The Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering had another strong showing in the 2021 edition of U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Issue, which includes undergraduate engineering program rankings.

Electrical engineering maintained its fourth place position in the rankings for a fifth consecutive year. Computer engineering moved down one spot from fourth to fifth place. For rankings among public universities alone, our electrical engineering and computer engineering programs both placed second among their respective disciplines.

At the college level, the College of Engineering placed fourth, and all of the programs offered by the College placed among the top five of their respective disciplines. Among public universities, Georgia Tech’s engineering program ranks second behind the University of California, Berkeley, and Georgia Tech placed eighth among all public universities.

“What these impressive numbers show is that we are continuing to do an amazing job in both education and research, and that our hard work and dedication to excellence are being recognized and appreciated by our peers. All of these factors make ECE an excellent option for prospective undergraduate students who are looking for a challenging and rewarding educational experience. I continue to be excited and optimistic about our future,” said Magnus Egerstedt, the Steve W. Chaddick School Chair for ECE.
