There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

With COVID-19 cases leaving many students isolated from the GT community, SMILE is looking to give a much-needed positivity boost to students in quarantine to let them know that their fellow Jackets are here for them! Over the next several weeks, we will be collecting uplifting and supportive messages from the GT community to be put into encouragement bags and sent to students in quarantine on campus. Three drop-and-go bins have been set up for handwritten submissions at the entrances of the new Exhibition Hall, West Village Dining Commons, and the Barnes & Noble Bookstore in Tech Square, so if you're on campus and able we'd encourage you to drop a handwritten message at a bin location!
Additionally, we will be accepting online submissions to be printed and put into bags through our Google Form that can be accessed at tinyurl.com/quarantinebags. Each message will be going to a different student, so we'd encourage you to submit as many messages as you can! Thank you for your time in helping spread positivity throughout the Tech community. Stay tuned to our social media (smile.gatech on Instagram and Facebook) for updates on the status of this project and to learn about other cool things that will be going in the encouragement bags!
