There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Chanel Lee described the ceremonies marking her recent promotion to lieutenant commander in the United States Coast Guard as the bringing together of two 'familes' that had supported her - the Coast Guard and her blood relatives. Seen here is her commander Tim Williams, and her mom, Betty Jones at her recent 'pinning' ceremony. "My mom has inspired me with the way she lives her life. She is the strongest person I know and she is relentless. She was more convinced than I was that I could do this. And I wouldn't have been able to without her."
