The Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business (“Center”) invites you to the next talk in our Business, Environment, and Society Speaker Series. The event is open to the public.

Denise Quarles is the Head of External Affairs for the Southeast.  She serves as a strong liaison with local governments, developing relationships, helping navigate various political channels and driving solutions management for public and private sector opportunities. In her role, she employs her passion for implementing smart, sustainable and resilient infrastructure initiatives that reduce cost/waste and improve quality of life. Prior to joining Siemens, Denise spent four years as the Director of Sustainability for the City of Atlanta where she advised and liaised with elected officials, implemented legislative polices approved by City Council, and created powerful alliances among private sector, academic, nonprofit, and community organizations.  Denise also served as the VP of Environmental Affairs of Southwire Company. As VP, she monitored and reported progress of economic and environmental liability to Board of Directors on a quarterly basis while maintaining responsible presence within key communities.  Denise holds a MBA and a chemical engineering degree.
