There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) at Georgia Tech will host a school fair open to all Tech students from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. as part of its pre-health conference.
Representatives from more than 70 graduate institutions will be in attendance, with information about programs including medical school, dental school, pharmacy school and public health. Any student with an interest in these or other health-related programs are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Dress is business casual and students should bring their BuzzCards for the school fair. The fair will be held at the College of Management in the second and third floor atria.
About the AMSA Conference
The rest of the AMSA pre-health conference is closed to those who have already registered, but will include workshops throughout the day centered around topics such as preparation for the MCAT and interviews, exploring healthcare professions and admissions advice. The event has 200 Tech students registered.
Georgia Congressman Phil Gingrey, M.D., will deliver a keynote about how healthcare reform may affect pre-med and pre-health students. At least 50 graduate programs will be represented and available to students during a networking lunch.
