Summary Sentence: Paint along virtually with a Bob Ross video.

Full Summary: Paint along virtually with a Bob Ross video.

Take a breath, relax, and be prepared to make many, many, many “happy little accidents” as we follow along with a painting tutorial from one of the world’s most cherished painters and TV personalities in one of the world’s most infamously terrible painting programs!

We’ll spend about an hour and a half slowly working through a 30-minute Bob Ross Season 10 episode (the exact painting won’t be disclosed until the event starts), pausing frequently to provide time to paint and catch up with the speedy artist. A painting guide with image dimensions, color codes, and more will be provided to registered attendees in advance. All you need is a computer, tablet, or similar device with a painting app. Microsoft Paint comes preinstalled on computers running Windows 10. Paintbrush is a free and comparable MacOS alternative to Microsoft Paint, and the built-in Preview app also has (limited) paint functionality. Any painting app will suffice, but try to stick with the spirit of the event: the worse the painting app, the better.

Attendees can submit their paintings at the end of the event, and other attendees will vote post-event on the top three paintings. The top three artists will win a copy of The Official Bob Ross Coloring Book along with a set of 24 Prismacolor colored pencils and additional RHA merchandise.

The event link will be provided upon registration. Please email dop@rha.gatech.edu with any questions or concerns!
