The University System of Georgia is accepting applications for the Chancellor’s Learning Scholars (CLS) program. Four teaching faculty members from Georgia Tech will be selected to represent the Institute as part of the program’s third cohort.

The program, launched in 2018 as part of a system-wide investment in student success, selects representatives from each USG institution to facilitate Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs), which explore specific teaching topics in sustained, meaningful conversations about teaching and learning with supportive colleagues and peers.

This year, FLCs will focus on the challenges presented by teaching and learning during a pandemic—namely, best practices for remote and online teaching and high-impact practices for remote, hybrid, and residential courses.

Each Chancellor’s Learning Scholar will be reimbursed up to $500 per year for books, supplies, and refreshments for their FLC. Upon successful completion of the program each year, they will also receive a $1,000 stipend. The period of service is two years.

All full-time instructional faculty are invited to apply by filling out the survey below. The deadline for applications is Friday, August 14. The Center for Teaching and Learning will inform applicants of the CLS program selections by August 28, and will work with those selected to support their success.
