Invited Speaker Seminar Series Summer 2020
On Monday July 20th, Erin Green from Skaar lab at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, will share her research with us.
The seminar will start at 3 pm EST, and you can join us via BlueJeans:https://bluejeans.com/542062656
All of our invited speakers and their research groups are welcome to join us via same link.
A brief summary of Erin's research:
Acinetobacter baumannii is an important opportunistic pathogen that infects critically ill patients in hospital settings, where it is frequently found contaminating hospital surfaces in a desiccated state.
Erin’s research is focused on utilizing genetic approaches to understand the mechanisms of A. baumannii desiccation tolerance, as well as the impact that environmental persistence has on the transmission and virulence of this pathogen.
