There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Georgia Tech's School of Materials Science and Engineering is celebrating its merger with the former School of Polymer, Textile and Fiber Engineering with a symposium focused on the future of materials science and engineering in the 21st Century.
Twelve speakers from around the world will participate in the 2011 Materials and Sciences Engineering Symposium from on Feb. 24 in the Grand Ballroom Salon of the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. The event will kick off at 8 a.m. with a welcome from Georgia Tech President G.P."Bud" Peterson on "the future for sustainability." The 12 speakers, who will discuss their particular sub-material area of expertise, will be followed by a discussion and complimentary banquet. See links below for agenda and more information.
