There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. At least 2,000 people have signed a petition calling on the USG to amend its policy, as of Tuesday evening. “I think we are an outlier at this moment, with respect to both Georgia Tech and the Board of Regents as a whole, in terms of not requiring face masks inside buildings," said Joshua Weitz. The university had 36,000 faculty, staff and students last fall. “This policy is going to elevate risk unnecessarily, and my hope, and indeed really my expectation, is that the USG must change this policy."
