Laurina Zhang, assistant professor of strategy and innovation at Scheller College of Business, will present a live webinar, “How Do Social Liberalization Policies Impact Innovation?” Discussion topics will include:
What is the connection between innovation and the social context in which it takes place?
Why do states that implement socially liberal policies enjoy a higher rate and quality of inventions?
If a company is considering a move to a new state, what regional policies could impact innovation?
If a region wants to become an “innovation hub,” what social policies can best support this goal?
Zhang will share her research, engage in a Q&A with Center Faculty Director Beril Toktay, and take questions from the audience. Zhang’s work has strong implications for practitioners, experts in strategy and innovation, policymakers, and students.
