Atlanta mayor keeps pledges, makes progress: Moki Macias (MCRP class of '11) remarks on the mayor's approach to crime in Atlanta

Moki Macias (MCRP '11) comments on Mayor Kasim Reed's approach thus far to crime in Atlanta: "It seems like he can come out really strong when something happens, but we are not seeing him be proactive in addressing violence throughout the city and addressing the root causes of it.” Her comment is in line with others who believe that, aside from many successes during the mayor's first year, there are long-standing problems in Atlanta neighborhoods that have yet to see improvement.
