Congratulations to School of History and Sociology graduate student Ling-Ming Huang, who successfully defended his thesis, "The Birth of the Taipei Metro and Technological Hybridity under American Hegemony: the History of the Rail Mass Transportation in Postwar Taiwan." Ling-Ming earned a PhD in the History and Sociology of Technology and Science.  His external thesis committee members was Professor Michelle Hsien of Academia Sinca in Taiwan, with internal members being Professors Amsterdam, Lu, and Schatzberg. Professor Krige was his supervisor.
