Three graduate students from the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, two from the School of Economics and one from the School of Literature, Media, and Communication, have received awards from the Center for Teaching and Learning.
Tony Harding, a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Economics, and Aditya Anupam, a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication, were both awarded Graduate Student Instructor of the Year.
Anupam's scholarship focuses on the role of digital media as "environments to foster the learning of science as situated practice." He has designed and taught LMC 2410 and LMC 4725, two undergraduate courses on game design. Harding studies climate, environmental and energy economics, particularly with applications to climate policy and geoengineering. He has taught three courses: ECON 2100, ECON 2106, and ECON 4400.
Yushuo Yang, a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Economics, was awarded Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year.
The three award winners were part of just nine selected from the entire Institute. They received a $500 prize.
