There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Abstract:
The object of the proposed research is to utilize novel materials — ferroelectric and antiferroelectric for developing non-von Neumann computing models. In particular, we showed that the ferroelectric can be used to implement coupled oscillator networks that can be used to solve computationally hard problems. In addition, ferroelectric is also suitable for artificial spiking neuron implementation. The ferroelectric spiking neuron integrated both excitatory and inhibitory inputs in a compact circuit topology is well suited for building at-scale, energy-efficient, and area-efficient spiking neural networks.
